About Awombda
Awombda is a Gestalt psychotherapist and supervisor with more than 25 years of experience in mental health and community services and is passionate about social justice. She works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and substance use concerns, and has specialist expertise working with the LGBTIQA+ community. Her approach is relational, experiential, and grounded in curiosity, supporting clients to develop greater awareness, choice, and connection in their lives. She currently works in both private practice and a community health setting. Awombda supports creative exploration and experiential body work in her clinical practice and values creating spaces in which curiosity can be manifested and explored. Alongside her private practice, Awombda is a faculty member at Gestalt Therapy Australia and has previously taught in the graduate program at MIECAT.
